Supermarket Partners & Their Impact
As the Bags 4 My Cause program grows, we are proud to share our current supermarket partners and the impact their success is having on local nonprofit causes and the planet!
Our first Supermarket Partners
In 2014, we partnered with our first client, Hannaford Bros., a supermarket chain with 180 stores throughout New England and NY. The Hannaford Cause Bag program offers 2 reusable bags with sales generating a donation with every purchase. The Fight Hunger bag supports hunger relief organizations and the Hannaford Helps bag supports nonprofit causes in the areas of health & wellness, education and civic organizations. Every month, at each participating store, a new nonprofit is chosen for each bag. In just under 3 years, program bag sales have already raised over $550,000 in donations and has provided over 850,000 meals to those in need throughout New England and NY.
In 2016, we partnered with Schnucks, a grocery retailer with 100 stores located in the Midwest. As with Hannaford, the Schnucks – Bags 4 My Cause program also offers 2 reusable bags with sales generating a donation to a new benefiting nonprofit each month. The Hunger bag focuses on hunger relief organizations and the Giving bag benefits nonprofit causes in the areas of health & wellness, education and civic organizations. With an initial order of 220,000 bags, the B4MC team is ready to take all the amazing things learned and experienced with the Hannaford Cause Bag program and apply them to the ongoing success of the Schnucks – Bags 4 My Cause program.
