Retail Partners & Their Impact
As the Bags 4 My Cause program grows, we are proud to share our current retail partners and the impact their success is having on local non-profit causes and the planet!
Our first Retail Partners
In 2014, we partnered with our first client, Hannaford Bros., a supermarket chain with 180 stores throughout New England and NY. The Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program offers 2 reusable bags with sales generating a donation with every purchase. The Fight Hunger Bag supports hunger relief organizations and the Community Bag supports non-profit causes in the areas of health & wellness, education and civic organizations. Every month, at each participating store, a new non-profit is chosen for each bag. In just 4 years, program bag sales have already donated over $652,000 in donations and has provided over 970,000 meals to those in need throughout New England and NY.
In 2017, we partnered with Schnucks, a grocery retailer with 100 stores located in the Midwest. As with Hannaford, the Schnucks – Bags 4 My Cause program also offers 2 reusable bags with sales generating a donation to a new benefiting non-profit each month. The Hunger Bag focuses on hunger relief organizations and the Giving Bag benefits non-profit causes in the areas of health & wellness, education and civic organizations. With an initial order of 220,000 bags, the B4MC team is ready to take all the amazing things learned and experienced with the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program and apply them to the ongoing success of the Schnucks – Bags 4 My Cause program.
In 2018, we partnered with Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, a Midwest specialty retailer focused on healthy organic products and groceries. Through this partnership came the next innovation of the B4MC program. As with Hannaford and Schnucks, every month each participating Fresh Thyme store selects a new non-profit to be the default beneficiary of the Giving Bag. The Giving Bag focuses on supporting non-profits in the areas of health & wellness, education, hunger relief organizations and Military/Veterans organizations. Attached to the Giving Bag is the Giving Tag, which allows the shopper to direct the $1 purchase donation to any cause of their choice. The selected non-profits will receive any donations that are not designated.
